Pulau Langkawi, it’s been 17 years since my last visit. We decided to have a short break just to relax and have a quality time together. We’ve planned this since early 2008 but to be honest i can only said ‘Yes we’re going’ at the 11th hour. Finally i manage to finish all my work/task on time and im off to Langkawi :).

We departed from LCCT around 12:30, We didn’t bought the priority boarding but my wife has a cool technique to get us almost in front of a queue. During check-in, Pak Arab infront of me need to pay extra RM160 ringgit because he exceed the weight limit by 16kg. RM10 for every extra kilo? Wow.. that’s a lot. Guess AirAsia now has a new source of income. My wife took my son to ‘berebut’ / fight for best seat, while i packed the stroller and carry all the hand luggage. Flight takeoff and along the flight, Aaqil admiring the plane engine and wing, he actually spent most of the time watching outside.

big-boy-with-gaffer-tape.jpg

i’ve been looking for this item for almost a year. it’s funny this item is such a rare item here in Malaysia.

what is gaffer tape?, wiki definition is here. well it looks just like ordinary duct tape.. but what make this tape special (and costlier) is the fact that this tape leaves no sticky residue when being removed. No cutting tool is required, can easily be torn. Apollo gaffer tape has a long product life with competitive quality. » Read the rest of the entry..

best.jpgAh.. panning shot.. one of the most exciting skill to learn. as a newcomer i love the picture produced when applying this technique but unfortunately this technique really depends on luck and a lot of practices (how does 1 acceptable picture in 30 shot sounds?)

pan? because normally we pan the subject not tilt or zoom (but you can be creative by doing tilting and zooming shot btw)
the idea is to follow your subject during the exposure time. by doing that, you will get a blurred background and sharp subject. this IMHO is the better than high shutter speed picture since there is a sense of movement by panning the subject, the body look static, but the wheel look blur. » Read the rest of the entry..
